Auditions held at The Legacy Theatre 1175 Senoia Road, Tyrone, GA 30290. Monday, August 12th, 6PM-10PM. Sign ups begin at 5:30PM. No appointment is necessary. For those auditioning, prepare 16-32 bars of one song in the style of the show for which you are auditioning. If you are auditioning for Sanders Family Christmas or Almost Heaven, please feel free to accompany yourself on the instrument of your choice (guitar or piano encouraged). Those auditioning specifically for Mamma Mia, Junie B. Jones or The Wizard of Oz will need to attend a dance call beginning at approximately 9PM. Please bring appropriate dance attire. SANDERS FAMILY CHRISTMAS

VERA SANDERS—Must appear in her 40’s, early 50’s. The true leader of the Sanders Family Singers. She’s more knowledgeable of the scriptures than anyone, and is determined to prove so by using a scripture for every point. Vera loves children and is set in her ways. In the script, Vera plays piano for the family. Actress must be able to sing well (any range). Other instruments will be considered as well.
STANLEY SANDERS—Much slower to speak than the rest of the family and for good reason. He has a dark past that he would prefer to keep secret. He doesn’t see eye to eye wit the other members of the family. The actor is usually a bass/baritone, but any part will be considered. He needs a good voice and must be a strong musician. Must be able to play the upright bass or be willing to learn, and other instruments are a plus.
